ARE YOU INTERESTED IN JOINING THE ANGLESEY BEEKEEPING ASSOCIATION? We meet on the first Wednesday evening of the winter months and occasionally have social Apiary Meetings during the Summer Months (see the Activities page for details.) Our meetings are normally in the Rhosmeirch Community Hall (see the Contacts page for directions). The winter meetings are generally a talk or presentation on a bee, honey, wax products or pollination related subject. As well as education and entertainment you also get a free cup of tea/coffee and biscuit. ABKA members are given priority for places on ABKA Training Courses. These are regularly oversubscribed. We have three classes of membership: A Full Beekeeping Member – for someone who has or is about have at least one colony of bees on Anglesey or its immediate environs. As well as the ABKA activities, membership also provides bee disease cover for up to three hives (additional cover can also be purchased through the ABKA). The ABKA is a member of the Welsh Beekeepers Association so full members receive third party public and product liability insurance and a Quarterly magazine “The Welsh Beekeeper”. Annual Subscription for a Full Beekeeping Member is £18 Double Beekeeping Membership – for two people of any relationship who keep bees together on Anglesey or its immediate environs  i.e. the bees are jointly owned. This could apply to a married couple, partners, parent & child (big or small), siblings or just plain friends. However, the membership counts as a single membership with regard to voting rights and benefits of ABKA and WBKA e.g. one copy of the Welsh Beekeeper. Annual Subscription for a Double Beekeeping Membership is £20 Associate Member – for people who do not keep bees but have an interest in bees and beekeeping on Anglesey or its immediate environs. They are welcome to all meetings of ABKA but do not enjoy any of the benefits of the WBKA. Annual Subscription for an Associate Members is £5 The 2017 membership form can be downloaded in pdf format using this button.                                      Full instructions are on the form.
